Lauri Kobar is a Preparator and Mount-Maker at the Hood Museum of Art, with a strong foundation in the fine arts. He earned both a Certificate and a Bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), where he focused primarily on painting. Lauri's education, combined with his experience at LaGuardia High School, has deeply informed his approach to art and craftsmanship. Over more than a decade in the museum field, he has applied his artistic expertise to the creation of custom mounts and exhibition displays, ensuring that each piece is presented with both aesthetic sensitivity and technical precision. His work continues to enrich the museum's exhibitions, blending traditional art practices with innovative display solutions.
