About

Laura Howard joined the Hood Museum of Art staff in July 2021. Prior to her promotion in July 2024, Laura previously held the positions of Assistant to the Director (July 2021 – 2023) and Assistant to the Director and Advancement Manager (July 2023 – 2024). As Advancement and Donor Relations Manager, Laura works with the Hood Board of Advisors, Director's Circle, Friends of the Hood Museum of Art, and Dartmouth alumni to create opportunities for individuals, foundations, and groups to engage with and support the Hood. Laura collaborates with colleagues across the museum and Dartmouth to support annual giving, alumni relations, fundraising, events, stewardship, and donor communications. Prior to coming to the Hood, Laura served as a planning assistant with the National Wildlife Refuge System, a division of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Laura holds a bachelor's degree in art history from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
