About

Giselle provides administrative and accounting support to the Hood Museum of Art. Before coming to the Hood in April 2023, she worked with several nonprofits in the state of New Hampshire as a political organizer, climate activist, canvass director, and grassroots fundraiser. In addition to her political organizing, Giselle is a professional mariner and tall ship sailor and has worked on a number of traditionally-rigged sailing vessels across the United States. She discovered her interest in the museum profession during her most recent position at the South Street Seaport Museum in lower Manhattan, where she worked as mate on the 1885 Schooner Pioneer and 1930 Tugboat W.O. Decker. She holds a BA in Women's Studies from the University of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing her MA at Dartmouth in Cultural Studies.
