Signed, in plate, lower center: St.; titled, in plate, upper center margin: Viertes Blatt.; inscribed, in plate, upper left (on flag): REPU; inscribed, in plate, upper right (on sword): VOLKS IUSTIZ; inscribed, in plate, lower left margin: "Freiheit, Gleichheit, und Brudersinn!" / Der Schrei waelzt durch die Stadt sich hin. / "Zum Rathhaus!" -- Horch! der Steinwurf saust.; inscribed, in plate, lower center left margin: "Hoch Republik!" -- Die Flamme braust. -- / "Zum Markt, zum Markt! Da steht er schon / "Der Held der Revolution! / "Hoert Ihn!" -- -- Stumm Alles wie ein Grab.; inscribed, in plate, lower center right margin: Er aber reicht ein Schwerdt herab / Und haelt es allem Volk bereit -- / Die List nahm's der Gerechtigkeit. -- / Er schreit: "Du Vok! dies Schwerdt ist dein!; inscribed, in plate, lower left margin: Wer sonst kann richten? du allein! / Duch dich spricht Gott! durch dich allein!" / ""Blut!
