Circular (cylindrical) head rotates 360 degrees, one side has a square window which opens onto a small mirror. Mirror can be adjusted laterally and horizontally by turning screw on top. Side of head reads in raised letters "PHONELESCOPE/NO./PAT'D 2-13/1912/DORSEY/GLOUCHESTER MASS." Opposite side is stamped (upside down) "70/WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY." It has two screws. Head can be raised and lowered on rod which screws into center of circular base. Base reads in raised letters "PHONELESCOPE." Disc with ciruclar opening loosely attached to base by insulated copperwire.
