This teacher workshop focuses on the large-scale photography of Chemehuevi artist Cara Romero, whose work asserts the power, creativity, and complexity of contemporary Indigenous life. In this workshop, you will learn how to challenge your students’ preconceptions about indigeneity and representation while examining themes related to the environment, pop culture, Native mythologies, and Indigenous futurisms.
