Obverse: Bearded, laureate male head right; struck partially off flan at bottom, and also badly corroded between 4:30 and 7:30. Inscribed clockwise, inward: [SE], and from 8:00-10:00: VERVS; from 2:00-5:00: PIVS AV[G]; frame from 8:30-2:00. Reverse: Helmeted (?) figure, draped to feet, seated right in high-backed chair; holding palladium in right hand, vertical object (identified as spear by both RIC and CREBM) in left. Much smaller figure (captive?) kneeling at right. Inscribed clockwise, inward, from 9:00-4:00: TR P XVII COS III [PP]; in exergue (covered here by corrosion): [S C]; frame from 8:30-2:00; axis up.
